Do you remove insect damaged leaves?

When you guys buy a new plant do you remove insect damaged or damaged leaves at all?

I usually try to keep the leaves that are already there. Transplanting stress normally will claim some leaves.

I've got some wax jambu leaves that are deformed and were munched on heavily and was wondering if I pulled them off if it would trigger more leaves to be developed.

Yes definitely take off deformed and hole ridden leaves.
