Atemoya veneer grafting, when to cut
« on: April 11, 2021, 11:58:01 AM »
So far I have some successful atemoya veneer grafts. How do I know when to cut the original trunk? Do I cut it as close to the graft as possible? Much appreciated.

They look ready to cut.  Remove the tape and cut close to the joint.  Then rewrap the graft union so it doesn't split.  Atemoya grafts can pop apart when they start growing quickly so don't be in a rush to remove the tape unless the graft looks really well healed.
