My brother who lives in Chaco, Argentine want to try to grow them? It is a warm place but arid during winter. Does anybody has any experience growing them in arid places? Any variety in particular should adapt better? Thanks.

In Winter it should get below 10 Celsius. If he has a hot, dry and sunny Summer, then he should use shade cloth in order to filter 30% of the sun light. Otherwise the plants suffer too much stress.
