I have some grafted hybrid Bacon avocado scions on 1 yr old mexican seedling plants for sale.
This may be the only source for this variety. I am not definite on this variety, just that the original scion for the tree shown is from the Huntington arboretum trees.
I need to know if I should up-pot these seedlings or leave them in the same pot for shipment orders.
Here's the details:
- Taking advance order, 1 per customer
-
Cost is $40 plus shipping (approx $16-$20) for USPS priority mail*** updated costs: $30 each plus shipping of $17(priority mail) => Total is $47 ***[3-1-21 kt]
*** The shipping cost can vary from $10-$17 depending on your location. I will provide once you give Zip code. The plant and box will weigh about 2lbs.
- Plant size: seedling will be 1yr old, in 10" tall pots now (2-/12"x2-1/2"x10").
- overall height including pot & plant is between 16"-26" tall.
- Box/package size is approx 3" x 3" x 24"
-> The rootstock seeds are from the 70yr old Hamada tree
- You can reserve a plant, when I ship around April-May, I will send you PM to confirm if you still want to purchase or not.
- Limited quantities, first come first serve.
- I will update this post when all are reserved
- Fruit size is similar to Bacon, skin is thin, taste is better than bacon, inside flesh color is white/light yellow. Weight = 300-350 grams.
- Origin of tree scion shown is from Huntington arboretum orchard, scion was cut & grafted to the tree shown over 50yrs ago. I'm not sure if the original mother tree exists now, they may have removed it during renovation of the orchard.
Here's a few photos of the current grafted plants. Also some photos of the fruits.
The only fruit photo I had was of a 1 week overripe fruit compared next to a Fuerte.
Only taking Paypal payment, USA only.
Send me PM if you would like to be on the advance order list.
