Advice on this Oro Negro avocado?
« on: April 07, 2017, 06:12:05 PM »
Transplanted this avocado a month ago and it has not taken it well even though I watered  it lightly every day maybe because it got kind of cold as soon as I moved it.

right after transplanting: http://i.imgur.com/Ymz9L9H.jpg

today after removing dead parts: http://imgur.com/a/IrF4J

should I get a new one or can it be saved?

Was not a very good looking tree to start with.
Best to get a new one and do not water every day

Hall and Marcus Pumpkon are really more like late fall (mid to late October and November).

You could add Nishikawa as later part of winter.

Lula would be my vote for best true winter avocado.

How often do you recommend watering an avocado when you first transplant it from a 3 gallon pot?
