Got this T. bicolor that is 8 years old ( 4 - 5 meters tall ) and so far nothing , just a long stem looking for light , not even side branches . I must say it is shaded by a huge Kwai Muk .Did anybody ever graft this on a regular cacao ?
According to this paper you can only graft it on theobroma speciosum rootstock or on the same sp.Page 6http://www.fruitlovers.com/Fruit/TheobromaHybrids.pdf
theobroma speciosum, This species of cacao is very complicated to grow, sensitive to the cold of the southeastern Brazil, the purpose is to get a new mucambo planting to cross pollination, it is a beautiful big fruit, but the taste is strange.Quote from: EvilFruit on February 22, 2017, 01:58:54 PMAccording to this paper you can only graft it on theobroma speciosum rootstock or on the same sp.Page 6http://www.fruitlovers.com/Fruit/TheobromaHybrids.pdf
