I Will be next Monday to collect some scions requested from Taiwan from a special mature tree founded who's fruit is Sweeter than the conventional ones, if anybody is interested please let me know, they will be sent only by EMS

unfortunately i only have a seashore mangosteen, i dont think they are graft compatible.

Adam, and others: Any ideas as to what would work for rootstock for Luc's Mexican garcinia? (Please say achachairu and xanthochymus

Jeff, I will go one time every time on the next two weeks cause I'm getting request of Scions of special trees and also because now is fruit season and I comeback with fruit, after that unless I receive a big order, I won't go back again this year, is an hour driving and hours walking picking fruit and scions, last time I left home at 7.30 and comeback at 5.30 and I usually going in my day off, so wife is not happy!

What did you graft them on to?

I used a couple of 24" achachairus and mex. Garcinias that I had. I used cleft (wedge) grafting, but I didn't do in on the leader on the mex. Garcinia because I didn't want to risk loosing the main plant if the graft doesn't work. I wrapped the scions and graft in paraffin tape. I hope that helps and good luck.

All right!! Michael looks like you are going to be a master grafter! Very nice Sweety is the sweetest of the dif. Limoncillos (Mexican Garcinia) I have ever tried also when fully ripe get the orange shoulders diferent to the regular lime yellow color, and please this is no 🍋 lemon drop mangosteen! It's way bigger, tastier, and fleshy!

Glad to see that it worked out well for you too. Lemon drop looks to be a good choice of rootstock for the mexican garcinia.
