Just found that fruit tree today while I was having a tour in the forest. I just don't know what it is ? My friend told me it is a native fruit specie, but he does not know which specie. I have opened a fruit and it does not smell bad but I did not dare to taste it as I don't know what it is. Could be an eugenia specie ? There is quite a few native and endemic eugenia species in New Caledonia. However most of them have only an ornemental value. Anyway, if anyone got a clue or know what it is, please let me know, thanks in advance.
