Here is a Borneo red I planted may 2015 it was 4" it's now nearly 8'





Mamey colorado same time was 2' nearly 6'
Things grow like weed here in Santa Ana

Yea, I did not think it was going to make it but it bounced back and a year later it's 8'.

the web is wrong. here is my tabouey x j30 five years in December but it's got Birula atemoya next to it to save it from the ax

Web might be right, when grown in ideal humid, zero freeze conditions. I hope so, because I just bought my first jack and it arrived today! I sure don't want to wait 5 years to see anything from it's current size. But it never freezes or gets that cold here. so hopefully that will help.

You shouldn't have a problem fruiting it before 5 years. In the Keys. I'm not a jakfruit expert. I've only had 2-3 varieties black gold, Fairchild and a unknown Cambodian variety.

Keep it going Frank.  Hopefully you will get some male and female flowers later in the year to pollinate.

Thats a male flower.  In most cases I have seen,  it will take a year or even 2 after the initial year it throws off male flowes to start throwing female flowers.
