Comparison between 2 nurseries: (My experience buying Lychees trees at Mimosa ELA and other nursery) in Southern California:

15G Mauritius fr Mimosa East LA: March 2015 $90

15G Brewster fr. other nursery: March 2015 $90

Same prize, size and month of purchased, but:
Seems like the 15G fr Mimosa's roots had been filling the 15G pot for some time..., while the 15G fr the other nursery: I see they uppotted recently to 15G. (I can see the old smaller pot "soiled formed cylinder...").

Note: after 2 years in the ground, the Mauritius has been growing over three times as big as the Brewster...

You would be shocked to see how beautiful Cal. Tropics Lychee trees are...even IF you don't have an extra 10k in your wallet (that day). I was super impressed. They also have a Jaboticaba grove (In ground) as well! Yes they are overpriced, but still impressive nonetheless. Chris

It looks like what you really got was a 7 gall but paid for a 15 gallon. That sucks.

I did not get a large tree yet but Frank and Fang air layered one for me. I will plant the smaller one at my house and I still want to get a large one for my mother in laws yard. I'll probably go and check out California Tropicalfruit nursery when I get a chance.

Those are good sized trees for very reasonable prices. Too bad it's just so far away from me.
