Hello everybody this is my 5 y.o. grafted Keitt mango.
It looks a bit ruffled (i've read it's quite common for this variety) but overall healthy.

Nevertheless there are several leaves showing a strange form of yellowing.
First some dark brown spots appear then the leaves start yellowing and eventually fall down.
I couldn't spot any scritters/mites/aphids/insects inspecting both leaf sides with a 20x magnifying lens.
Any idea?
I attach pictures of both sides of the leaves in three different stages as disease is progressing....

Hi Lory

No sure but could be anthracnose (fungal)

May not be....but probably best to remove infected leaves and stems on tree and purchase a liquid copper from your garden centre.  They will advise what to do. It is some type of fungal I think.

Does this happens on new leaves or just on older leaves? I'm asking because this is remarkably similar to my spring leaf loss. Older leaves just turn yellow, show sign of necrosis (black spot) and detach. I think this is part of the normal cycling of leaves, if that's is the case.
If this happens on newer leaves i would be more worried. I that case i would probably go with copper too.

I agree with Pancrazio,

Looks like normal senescence of older leaves. We’re these leaves on older, usually lower down the canopy or partially shaded by newer growth? Mango trees appear to stop sending resources to older leaves and may actually pull mobile nutrients out of older leaves and put them into newer growth. The pattern of dots and the color and shade of the dots look like what I would expect on older leaves that are close to being ready to drop.

Do you see this on newer growth?

Actually it affects only mature leaves. No new growth is affected.
the treee looks green and healthy leaves are a bit sparse compared to other local very compact mangoes but i think its a characteristic of this variety.
what is worrying my is not the older leaves becoming yellow but those black necrotic spots.
If this a natural process of leaves senescence then it's welcome.  :)
Thanks everybody for the precious consultation
