Very nice looking fruit, all clean and picture perfect.

by the way, regarding the Gomera, I know they are standard rootstock, but how do they taste? are they decent tasting? unlike the "turpentine" used in Florida.

Thank you all for the kind words  :)

amaqeq, the taste of FdJ is excellent, very sweet, but also a strong and complex aroma hard to describe. Probably the best chirimoya out there.

terejiguete, I'm pretty sure it's G-3.. hmm.. I will check again. NDM is a very nice mango. The name means 'agua de flores', which I think it's a good transcribtion. It's not very sweet nor it has a strong flavour, but a very pleasant mild aroma. A must have in any serious mango collection.

Mura, there are many other fruits in season right now, but not in my orchad: Mamoncillo, annonaceas, abiu.. I just forgot this one in my orchad... LOL

Tropicdude, yes, the gomera mangos taste pretty good, sweet, but they are not very big and have tons of fibre.

Harry, the Rincon avocado is a good tasting one, similar to Fuerte, with a small seed. Over here it is a dwarf and ultra productive cultivar, a real champ!

Mangoperro, off-season fruit is the best fruit!  ;)

Do you know the origin of the "Rincon" avocado? I ask because there is a city on the west coast of Puerto Rico named Rincon and that area is famous for the best avocados on the island.

Noel, they sold me this tree locally as 'antillano', but it is not. It's G x M and comes from California. Here some information from avocadosource.com :

Orig. in Carlsbad, CA by Sam Thompson. Introd.1948. Chance seedling; discovered before 1945.Fruit:pyriform;6-10 oz;seed 1-1.50 oz;skin thickness med., smooth, leathery, peels well; flesh fine; oil content med.; flavor rich; season Jan.-April; resembles Fuerte. Tree: med.-small; weak grower; consistent & heavy bearer; minor commercial variety in coastal areas. (B&O Register) Originated by Sam Thompson at Carlsbad, CA. Propagated by Stanley Shepard at Carpinteria, CA. Tree, speading, very precocious relative to bearing, somewhat alternating, but a very good producer. Fruit season, Mar.-May. Color, green (darker than Fuerte). Weight, 8.50 ozs. Shape, pyriform. Skin, smooth, leathery, peels. Flavor, rich. Oil, 16.18%, Mar. 30th. Seed, 1.50 ozs. Registered 1945. (CAS Yearbook 1956) Parent of Pinkerton, two trees are growing at South Coast Research Station, Irvine, CA, field 44, row 11, trees, 13&14. Still sold in nurseries in No. Chile. (J.R. Frink 1998) Origin, CA; Race, MxG?; Flower, A (Lahav & Gazit)(originated at Carpinteria, CA); pear-shaped; sm.-med.; skin fairly thin, smooth, leathery; flesh buttery, contains 15-26.5% oil; fibers in flesh near base turn black when fruit is cut; seed of med. size. Season: Mar. & Apr. in Queensland, where it is rated as of poor quality. It is one of the 6 leading cultivars in CA. Tree has a low spreading habit. (J.Morton 1987)

Tere, I think Domingo told me that mines were G-3, but I think you are right ;)
