Selling: GUAQUICA
« on: October 04, 2013, 11:38:12 PM »
GUAQUICA, Myrciaria guaquiea, is one of the rarest of all fruits from the Atlantic Rain Forest. Until a few years ago the Guaquica was known only for old references, not even a picture of this species existed. It was mentioned as growing in the seashore of Rio de Janeiro state, in an area with big real state pressure and speculation, so the danger of extinction was really big. Initially we located only one tree, and over the last years I was able to locate a very few more.  The fruit is not only extremely rare, it is also delicious, sweet and fresh, with a complex flavor not plain at all.
VERY FEW SEEDS AVAILABLE,  FOR SALE ONLY. Well I will be willing to trade for extremely rare stuff you will offer me privately.

size is similar to cabeludinha, but has more flesh, and the flavor is just outstanding, has a lot more personality than cabeludinha, imho.

sorry for my delay to reply, but now I replied to all.

Hi Carlos,

I sent you a note the same day you posted (Oct 4) & I have not seen a reply yet.  However, my aol account seems to be acting up -- I cannot access it from my laptop today, only from my phone but I do not see a message there.

Sorry he can't help you. Carlos is now in custody of secret Chinese police for having told an "untruth". Just kidding! ;) Really you got to jump on these offerings more pronto. I got some, but doubt there's any more.

Like i just posted on another thread that Adam brought up about starting a nursery: CA is one of the terrible 4, meaning one of 4 states(CA.,AZ.,TX.,LA.) where it's very difficult to send plants. So, sorry no.

Yes, but they're still tiny. In a few months can send some to FL.

Scion wood is ok, as are air layers, because they are not in contact with soil. The terrible 4 are worried about soil nematodes.
