It has a high chance of being Pouteria torta. Maybe it is some cultivar with big size and thick rind.

I've heard that this Gustavia macarenensis "must be eaten at the correct stage of ripeness. If you eat it on Tuesday it is under-ripe, hard and tasteless. If you eat it on Thursday it is overripe with a foul odor and taste. On Wednesday it is a great fruit, rich and oily.", from Jim West.

Found this nice fruit on the ground in the forest. Good pulp ratio, sweet taste (the skin leaves a slight back bitter taste in the throat).
I was not able to found the tree.
Any ideas ?

Looks like some Mouriri to me.

You've got a great land with a very good condition for various tropical species!

There's one thing is that importing trees/seeds from abroad into Ecuador is challenging. Exporting is easier but things will get as strict as importing soon :(

It is Annona glabra.

I think chemical kill will trigger a neighborhood war. Using coconut beetle (Rhinoceros) will ensure a slow but peaceful death. Drill some holes in the tree's trunk and put some in.

Luc for the first two pics, they look like spider nest with eggs. Have you tried to open one of those?
