In the ground planted I have:
3 lemon tree
1 Valencia Orange
1 thai giant guava
3 cherimoya (honeyhart,white,& fino de jete)
1 Gruchima cherry
3 mangos (Alphonso, Carrie,Malika & Manila)
1 Honey manderine
1 syszgium jambolanum (duhat)
1 hass avocado
1 Sapodilla "Alano"
3 Moringa Oleifira (Miracle tree or Malunggay)
In pots I have:
1 Starfruit "Sri Kembengan"
1 little cado avocado
3 mangos (ice cream,lancetilla,nam doc mai,& manila)
1 june plum
1 jackfruit
2 wax jambu red and green varaiety

Lots of fruit trees! Looking good! Is your sri kembangen fruiting for you? Is it the only star fruit in your yard(or any of your neighbors yards for that matter)?

Luke, yes it's the only starfruit in the yard and produce about 100 fruits last year.

Sapodilla "Alano" & Hass Avocado (plenty of marble size druit)


Cherimoya "Honeyhart" plenty of fruit (hand pollinated) same with the Atemoya "Afican Pride"


Star Fruit "Sri Kembengan" and Honey Tangerine

Mangos are all doing very good this year, I took most of the flowers because all I want is more growth.They fruited last year but growth suffered.

Nam Doc Mai and Mallika (just tipped prune this one)

I have an Alano in the ground for almost 3 years now and have had no problem adjusting to Cali. weather except that it's a slow grower.

Nursejolly, nice pick up just what everybody is saying filtered sunlight for a week then you can take it out in full sun.Good Luck

very nice, I am from Carson not to far from you and your mango tree is very nice.You shold have no problem with weather, I also have ice cream mango and does very well and produce fruit yearly for me.Good Luck with your trees!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, ant, nice healthy looking plants...but I must say they look way behind every other SoCal's fruit trees I've seen.
It looks like the Carrie is just blooming and the La Habra and other mango locations I've seen is already into 1 inch fruits
at least....many of mine, out here in the desert are at the 2" plus stage...

just curious - what town do you live in?

If I had to guess I would say a coastal location, the clouds/haze days near the coast were pretty high the last few months.



I live in Carson 90745 by Long Beach.The only mango with fruit formed right now is my
ice cream mango and Lancetilla.

Ant no photos of big white guava,chiku,mabolo or marang?

No photos of the giant white guava, chico, mabolo, or marang.I tasted one big chico as big as a baseball at my uncle's house other than that they are not in season.I did take  pic of some his bonsai including a fruiting guava bonsai and sweet tamarind vonsai from bangkok..


sweet tamarind...I should have taken pics when it had fruits on it but my kids ate it all up.

MikeT, most of mango pics are taken in Tarlac, Pampanga in my uncle's farm and Manila...The Lanzones is still called lanzones but this variety is from Bangkok because local Lanzones is still not in season till August..the Atis vary in sizes the biggest is about the size of a baseball...more pics..

MikeT, Yes I had mangoes everyday.I do not know the variety only what the local call them.The best mangoes is called Guimaras mango from Guimaras Island in the Philippines.Here is more pics..
