Just got a Pitomba tree, have many questions

Hello All,
I just bought a pitomba tree that is about 4 ft tall in a very large pot. There was 1 ripe fruit that day. In the 2 weeks that I have owned it, over 20 fruits have ripened and there are dozens of flowers and green fruit ripening. I am totally thrilled !!!

I have planted all the seeds keeping them moist and out of the sun. I haven't seen any sign of life yet ... should I put them in the sun now, wait until they sprout then full sun, or should I do partial shade as they take off ?

The tree has no lower branches. The nursery had 3 other trees all had the same issue.  Should I be thinking ahead to graft any seedlings on to the trunk of the original tree ?  I have never grafted before but it seems like there are many experts in grafting on this forum, so maybe you could help a newbie out !

I will probably have to keep these trees growing in pots, since I am running out of yard LOL

When sprouting seed you need to keep the seedlings in partial sun so they don't get shocked. Also, what would you want to graft onto the tree?

Thanks Jaboticaba45  I have them in the shade and will hopefully see sprouting soon .... how many days is normal ?  I appreciate your rapid response.

I was thinking about possibly grafting the seedlings on to the trunk of the tree so we get some lower branches, any advice there ? I would hate to screw it up and damage this awesome tree, so would try to find an experienced grafter to help me out.

Otherwise, I will just have more trees and/or sell the seedlings.

In you video you never showed the pot and the base of the tree.
In the middle of the tree there was a fairly large branch that had been trimmed
off. The tree will fill in and become more bushy if you let it.
If it was grown from seed then if you let the suckers grow up you can bush it out
and have more then one trunk. My tree is probably 7' tall and 7' wide in the ground.
If it was grafted the suckers may not be the same quality of fruit?

In Florida sun the seedlings can be grown in shade or filtered light the first year.
The seedlings usually grow slow and you should top them within 12" or they can grow
leggy.

why would you graft a seedling to the tree? There does seem to be allot of variation in
taste and I had another spindley tree and the fruit was awful. I dug up the tree and gave
it away.
