Nope, never seen one, all mine has been brown skin, is there any taste different between red skin & brown skin longan?   :)

I know there is a purple skinned one, I think it is in Vietnam.

Those red longan are a great and attractive development which should do wonders for the commerce in the longan industry. I hope that we will soon hear about new varieties with wonderful qualities that have this red color. Thank you for this great post/news.

There was a bit of publicity about this around 2 years ago and I think the farmer involved was in Cambodia. A few members were trying to acquire seeds at that time.
Kmer Rouge would be a good variety name.

Yes, somebody posted about this in the forum back then. Unfortunately just because a fruit is a nice color on the outside doesn't necessarily mean it tastes good on the inside. For example, Tommy Atkins has very nice coloration and is one of the blandest mangos around. Would be nice to hear something about how these red/purple longans taste?
