This is for small seedlings, only a few inches high

No.   They need to be hardened off gradually.

I put four in the ground over a week ago, and a couple of them (including this one) get full sun. They've also gone through some of the hottest days of the year so far.  All are putting on new growth.

This is impressive!  Maybe humidity is the issue?  Mine had quite a bit of leaf sunburn initially when moved outside in part shade, even though they were bigger (had 3 or 4 pairs of leaves) when I moved them out.  They pulled through OK, but full sun here in San Diego would have killed them. They are doing fine in part shade (morning sun only), but it’s hot and dry here so more stress.  A proper procedure is to acclimate them gradually by moving them into a shade, and then part sun.  They will need full sun eventually, but not right away

Once hardened off, do they prefer full sun? Right now they seem happy in a windowsill but I want to accelerate their growth. I can also put them in partial shade if they prefer that, just curious about whatever would make them grow fastest.

I'm brand new to growing Jackfruit, so am only relating my very brief experience so far. I have read about Jackfruit having deep taproots, so my goal was to get them in the ground as soon as possible, so their taproots could do their thing. I figured I'd hedge my bets with having half the in-grounders get the full sun location and the other half get the afternoon sun location. As I noted above, all are putting on new growth. I also have some seedlings in containers that are doing well. The containers also get afternoon sun, which can be a lengthy period of time here in Punta Gorda, FL. I planted the in-grounders the day before promised rains that never came. I made sure to water them every day and yesterday we finally got a decent amount of rain. Good luck!

i have a few now that are just a couple of months 5-6 leaf stage.
they were under part-shade for a few weeks at first, but now take full sun like a champ.

also have  white sapote seedlings in full sun (after hardening off)

i am in New Orleans and sun can be brutal here. i do put them in oversized containers with mulch on top.
sometimes i will put a 1gal container inside a 3gal container
so the sun doesnt directly hit the black plastic near the roots...
I find small black containers can cook roots in direct sun.
so be careful with that.
