The Fiji Longan to chase is the giant with leathery skin.

I only tried an over ripe one but very good. A4 lychee is from Guandong. Are you sure they are not the same and are both Sansuelin variety you are chasing? Not many Erdon Lees around.

They are probably the same then, I just collect every name I can find of the seedless lychee. Its hard to find any info on it. It seems like erdon lee is common in Australia but no one knows in USA. I am trying to find the A4 the most.

Hi
Seedless litchi comes from China.
There are 2 types
A4 (Completely non-nuclear)
There is another kind, the fruit is huge and seedless (large egg)
But I send you branches from China, maybe the grafting survival rate is not high ;D

Sorry to interupt on this thread, but it makes me wonder why these varieties have not landed in the US yet?

Because the grafting takes 2 years to bear fruit. China has only had varieties in these 2 years. And the U.S. customs are stricter

China might not have Erdon Lee yet and the Sansuelin seedless has been in Australia at least 7 years. Australian Customs are even stricter than the US. maybe the US is not ready for an out of sequence fruit and needs to go though is Fai zee sui phase yet to avoid a great disturbance in the continuum.

I also agree with you. Mainly US legal protection. Even if there is, I dare not just sell the fruit in the market, it is normal not to see it

I gave it to fans in the United States last year. Sent the seedless lychee grafted branches. Confiscated by the customs, although it is free, it is still a pity

People have seedless lychee trees in CA.  I know someone with one that is already fruiting who is a member here.  Ive got a small tree that is supposed to make large seedless fruit from China.  Just picked it up this year so I can't personally confirm how it looks but the seller is a reputible guy.  Theres several seedless varieties here.

That is right there are a few seedless and they must be in the US by now especially the Sansuelin which is big and of high quality. I do doubt that Erdon Lee is in general circulation yet however and that variety is a game changer.I think the A4 name is only on paper - no pun intended. I remember posting about a big fruited selection of Fai zee siu a few years ago with pics. Are they around in California or Florida yet?

Fai zee siu is a respectable fruit if you cant get your first choice. You'll be hocking up the brewsters after trying them. Any fruit that has a name meaning concubine laughing is worth a shot.

Is Fay zee siu the same as hak ip? Right now I have hak ip and Mauritius. It’s basically impossible for me to find any of the rare varieties in California. And I check everyday lol

Buddy, they sell air layers on etsy for pretty reasonable price.  The seller is called 7 torpical I think.

You can get air layers and then in spring order scions from the USDA in Hawaii and graft your new types.

Fai zee siu is way better than Haak yip and tai so Mauritius and you will be hocking those up after trying FZS. I like Mauritius and the rose water taste in them but its still flapping with the turkeys instead of soaring with the eagles.

LL I think so and I think A4 from Jason Nursery is the same as the big seedless listed in a few places with different names.
