Schizomeria ovata grows along the east coast of Australia from temperate to subtropical regions.
 
Produces 1.5 – 2cm creamy white fruit sometimes called native crabapple or white cherry. Completely ripe white fruits taste pleasantly sour, juicy and refreshing. As with many Australian natives, they can be difficult to germinate.
