We’ve started selling budwood again. $4 per scion + shipping. Availability list below. These are trees large enough to harvest from and not under any proprietary restriction (ex. no coconut cream for this reason):
https://www.tropicalacresfarms.com/budwood-availability (https://www.tropicalacresfarms.com/budwood-availability)
If interested in ordering, send us a checklist to Tropicalacresfarms@gmail.com and we will look for what has active buds. Please take into consideration that some varieties are scarce due to high demand and not large trees (Cotton Candy , sugarloaf and Orange Sherbet perhaps chief among these)
Thanks for reading!

Two kinds growing at USDA. One turns a darker purple color. I can’t remember which though. 6-26 has some fruit on it this year.

Thanks for posting this Jeff, I had missed it on the site. If I had seen this prior to placing my scion order, I might have ordered slightly differently. Oh well, there's always next year ...

Thanks for the comments Jeff. We Plan on updating those descriptions again after the season is over as there’s a decent amount of stuff fruiting for first time.

Looking forward to it. This is an awesome resource.

I feel like Alex's ad's been hijacked, but I have to add my appreciation of his site--invaluable resource, especially for a perspective on growing in FLA. If I knew how to graft, I'd buy scions from him, but I'll just wait to buy more fruit from him this summer!

@squam
Do you have that hybrid Haden x kasturi developed by Noris?

I don’t.

I'm just curious -- is there a way for you to tell whether the scions you cut have MBBS so you can avoid spreading it? This isn't just applicable to you, but everyone who sells scions from Florida. Thanks!

@squam256
How long will the scion list be made available?
I’d buy more but need to make more rootstock
-
He stopped selling scions last year in august if memory serves. I think you have a couple months left.

Mahalo!
Had some other stuff I’d bring in but need time. Plus it’s pricey when I’m grafting to give away

Infected wood has distinguishable black lesions on it.
Not to be confused with benevolent black mold which is common.

Sounds great. I've just been trying to learn more about MBBS. Thanks.
