Do you happen to have V. weberbaueri?I bought in Trade Winds seeds, but they haven't sprouted yet, I'm still waiting.
compare a field grown watermelon with a greenhouse grown watermelon - completely different tastes.I agree with you, it will be completely different tastes. But I also talked to a gardener from Sochi, and this is already subtropical, he grew cassabanan in the open ground, his opinion coincides with mine,it is not delicious and wasted time. Maybe the Russians have some idea of their own tastes, I know a lot of people who will never eat mango, because they think it is disgusting.
Not sure about shipping to Russia, but here in the U.S. shipping works fine.It worked,I got three fetuses from them. The seeds have already sprouted.
I bought from Brian Laufer @ https://queenoftheamazon.squarespace.comYes, I've seen this site before,it has Vasconcellea pubescens x palandensis hybrid seeds, it's definitely interesting. Other types that he sells I already have in the collection.
He has some mountain papaya cross as well.
Excellent germination on all the seeds I bought this year.. However be forewarned that the seeds may not be labelled, I had to guess which seeds were what
I have a collection of Vasconcellea, when I will get fruits I will post here.It will be very good, thank you.
Hi Carolyn! I agree with you, this is a serious challenge, but some gardeners in Russia managed to get the fruits from cocoa and papaya. Today I am trying to find different information about the content, and while I do not have certain questions, it is interesting to read everything about these plants.
The plants you mentioned will be quite a challenge in Riussia.
Oh, I see... Sow that might be what makes the difference. As long as it is not a large package, I suppose this can go under their radar undetected. In this way, I sent nuts, chestnuts and seeds of other fruit trees and shrubs in one package, everything went well. The German customs are very strict, but each time they missed the parcels to their country.
200-400LOh, hell, it's a serious problem,but it's a workable one.
Any avocado can produce in a pot. The question is how big of a pot and how much fruit will you get. And how easy will it be to keep the tree happy in a pot for the long term. What do you think is the best size for an avocado pot? I have a lot of 40-liter pots in which I grow dragonfruit and monstera.
Sorry to hear of your troubles Forester and why those species. There are smaller species with more tasty fruits. Cacao get pretty big especially.Mike thanks for the tip, I just ordered three fruits from montosogardens. This is Small Yellow Forastero Cacao. I hope I won't have any problems with these guys.
Sorry, but your story is difficult to make any sense of. I won't even try. It would hurt my head too much! (I read it twice and won't do it a third time.)I find it difficult to explain the situation in English, I'll try this:
