« on: September 17, 2020, 09:54:44 PM »
Guachocote (Malphigia Mexicana) Mexican Cherry is an endangered fruit from Morelos state in Mexico, just knew about it yesterday, is a distant relative of Acerola, Guachocote fruits in Bunches, is very sweet and has a wonderful fragrance who spread through the room, they have a good size being larger than a Bing cherry

Yes, it does look amazing!

Will you be offering seeds?  If so, do you think they are as stubborn as barbados cherry when trying to germinate?

It's really hard to germinate Acerola seeds. Hopefully the Mexican have better germination rate.

Has anyone germinated these yet? I’ve had no luck.

They look good and so much like bing cherries in at least one pic. They might be closer to acerola than you think. Do they taste better than acerola? Do the leaves make you itchy? I bet they have high vitamin C.

Beautiful little seedling with very fine soft hairs on the leaves.

Make sure to root some cuttings. I failed trying to germinate.
Grow mainly fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

Thanks Wonderfruit! It was not easy to germinate...and that is the lone survivor so fingers crossed 🤞🏽

If I can keep it alive long enough I will def attempt to root up sum cuttings.
