stopped by my friend's loquat "farm" last week and gathered
some dropped fruit for seeds. I found this one fruit that was
almost twice the size of all the others and I set that one aside.
upon opening it up, I found that the 5 seeds were twice the size
of the common loquat seeds.
(I feel bad that I did not think to get a photo of the fruit before I opened it).
I am only familiar with the common loquat that my friend has
so I have no idea what it could possibly be.
has anyone ever seen anything like this ? I am not going to plant them
because I don't have 5-8 years to see how it turns out. I have some seeds
to give away and will include one of these seeds in the packet for the
recipient to experiment with.
any ideas as to what the mutant could be ?
