I am looking for Mountain papaya Vasconcellea pubescens known also like papayuelo or chamburo. I need fresh seeds. I want to use them as a rootstock for papaya.
The rare toronche Vasconcellea stipulata would be appreciated as well.

Try https://www.tradewindsfruit.com/ (https://www.tradewindsfruit.com/) they have some now and so do https://www.rarepalmseeds.com/fruit_trees.shtml (https://www.rarepalmseeds.com/fruit_trees.shtml) they have theirs listed under carica.
Had decent luck with both companies.
Best of luck!

I was just about to say the same thing! They have good stuff too!

Thanks for your replies. I know about those two companies, however they sell small seeds packs are are quite expensive comparing germination rate/price. None of those companies make any germination tests.
Normal germination rate for C pubescens is 40% if the seeds are fresh, less then a month. As for C stipulata germination is only 10% for less than a month and it can take up to 240 days.
So I am looking for fresh seeds from just eaten fruits.

Any luck finding Vasconcellea stipulata seeds?

Rare palmseeds has mislabeled seeds. I had gotten V. stipulata and it was V. pubescens. They also have a poor germination rate if seeds are not marked as new.

Neither Rare Palm Seeds nor Trade Winds has these any longer... I'm on a wait list.
Has anyone had any luck growing V. Stipulata?

I have a friend who lives in Colombia who sent me 'papayuela' seeds (this is how they labeled them). Not sure if it is what you want but they are not fresh, from the end of last summer. they have been stored in my refrigerator since receiving. If you want these, just let me know.
