Mangifera pajang graft

Last January my friend recieved some M. pajang seeds. In the green house the seeds germinated very fast and very well, but after a few month they started to decline, showing sings of stress. Something was wrong with the soils/roots. In an attemp of saving this mangifera, my friend decided to graft some material on M. casturi rootstock. This is the result of his experiment:








Let's hope for a good long term compabitibility...

Dear Ethan, he also tried on M. indica and other species, but it only worked out on casturi...

Thank you Felipe.  I believe casturi is compatible w/M. indica?  I wonder if you could use casturi as an interstem between M. indica and M. caesia?

Your friend is so good, he could probably even graft mamey onto avocado for Luc!
