finally tasting the first fruit from my anonna seedling
« on: March 30, 2017, 10:05:17 PM »
finally tasting the first fruit from my anon seedling, this fruit is from a second seedling that was planted 6-7yrs ago. It's flavor is so unique.  It's a bit acidic with sweetness and very flavorful like a sugar apple, and the texture is sectional and chewy like sugar apple but is creaming like cherimoya. Not sandy or gritty at all.   I think I might have cross pollinated this cherimoya with a sugar apple. It does have lots of seeds like a sugar apple. It is a keeper. I think I like it more than a regular cherimoya because it tastes so unique.

Nice perfect size fruit. I'm not a fan of sugar apples but if It has some acidity from Cherimoya, it could be great. Congratulations on growing your seedling tree to fruition! I've had pretty good luck with seedling Cherimoyas. One seedling I grew tasted like a cross between Honeyhart and Booth.
