Laaz, do you have to protect your fruit from freezing in winter there?

I never protect anything. The fruit is good as long as the temps don't stay below 32F for a extended period. I think we dropped to 26 twice this winter for a few hours... I still have hundreds of grapefruit & variegated valencia oranges hanging on the trees.

Laaz the coloration of your Cara Cara is really something. My Cara Cara tree which is 11 ft. high and wide and is something over 10 years old produces a lot of fruit, but the color is not as deep as your picture above. Nice looking fruit. With the next Citrus Expo in your area, you should put that tree's fruit in the contest.

Thank Bob. This tree is about 10 years old & 6 ft tall. It's from budwood Joe Real sent me years ago.
