No seed mango husk
« on: October 14, 2019, 11:40:20 PM »
Consumed 2 mangos the last couple days, besides their excellent taste,
was surprised to see that their husks contain no seed in them.
I had no seed papaya before, but first time on mango for me:

I had the same thing in my first so-cal backyard mango. It was a shrunken down Danny Devito of the So-Cal Oro variety. It was very tasty.

Heard a description of this from Walter Zill while doing a bit of researching the Keitt mango 3:28.  https://youtu.be/Unlfy4-kwqg

Many of the Mangos I’ve grown in my backyard have had seeds like that. I would say 50% of my fruit are like that. I wonder if it has something to do with our climate or certain pathogens that causes incomplete pollinization?

I’ve experienced this with Glenn, Edwards, Venus, Sweet Tart, Maha Chanok, Gary, Pineapple Pleasure, Green Thai mango, NDM and Lemon Zest.
