Doubt that you could grow mangos.  Probably not avocados either.  Not citrus.  That leaves any and all deciduous/stone fruits and persimmons.  Mark in Fredericksburg would know, though he's higher and colder.

There is a lot of avocado and citrus in and around San Antonio. He just needs to be careful about placement. The soil is very calcerious in some areas, so needs some remediation.

Interesting.  Good to know.  May be moving there in a few years.

Almond, pecan, jujube, loquat, fig, frost tolerant citrus/eugenias, and most prunus sp.

San Antonio gets pretty cold a few weeks a year usually limiting it to few subtropicals

As someone mentioned citrus does fine based on where it is grown.

These are at my BIL's place just north of SA.

Pictures are of Grapefruit X Orange on the south side of the house and Calamondin on the north side of the house.
They also have banana, avocado, figs, jujube. During a severe winter you may loose some limbs on some of these except for Jujube.

I have also seen Satsuma and Meyer lemon growing quite successfully in the ground around SA.
