If it is registered with the USPTO then it is enforceable.   Someone should look into it.

It has Plant Breeder Rights to 2031 in Australia.
It doesn’t apply to the US.

Do you have any links to Paxton’s application in the US?

I use pollens from a rollinia tree on an ap2 atemoya flower.  The rollinia tree was from a crfg San Diego chapter tree sale.  The fruit was excellent.  The seedlings had elongated leaves like an rollinia and some what encapsulated flowers.

What is the history behind this hybrid?

Rollinia atemoya tasted sweet and chewy banana.  The pollens was from Helmut.  There is no acid.   The brown dots near the seeds are like your typical atemoya but sweet like brown sugar.  There is no bitterness near the seeds or skin.

I might have picked the fruit too early and cut the fruit too early.  I consumed the first part and it was not ripe but hard, firm, sweet, and bitter like a raw cherimoya.  I waited an extra two days for the second piece which is picture below.  Every part of 2nd ripen piece is sweet to the skin with some grit at the skin like a pierce or knight cherimoya.  It was more chewy near the seed sack like an atemoy.  There is a uniform sweetness from seed to skin. Texture is firmed and chewy at the seed and get less chewy toward the skin.  Overall, it is a supreme sweet banana with meaty texture.  I will give this 8 out of 10 if this was a cherimoya and a 10 out of 10 if it was an atemoya.

Right now the tree is in a 25 gallon container.  I am hoping to plant the tree and see if the flavor profile will change.

Pollination is the hardest part because of the access to the flowers.  I need to asked Paulish how he did it.

Keeping the Rollinia alive is the hardest part.  Rollinia have very sensitive root systems.  I do not know if it is due to the cold, bugs, or fungus that killed my rollinia.

That's great. What sort of conditions does Rollinia need to fruit in San Diego? I figure it probably needs morning sun and afternoon shade in the summer and protection from wind. Is that about right?

My friend Paulish have fruited rollinia in San Diego.  My big rollinia died before it could fruit.  I have a new rollinia growing and hopefully it will fruit in a year or two.  There are multiple members of CRFG San Diego chapter have fruited Rollinia in San Diego.

As for me, there is a bug or fungus in my soil that have killed multiple rollinia and sugar apple tree.  I have learn to graft all important cultivars/experimental seedlings on cherimoya rootstock to prevent future death. Some Rollinia, Saramuyo, and sugar apple 8 feet tall with 3 inches diameter trunk have died.

I use pollens from rollinia to pollinate an ap.  I will try fruit in a couple of days.  Below is the encapsulated flower.  Not all flowers are encapsulated—maybe a 50:50 ratio.  The mother fruit was excellent and I planted the seed.  It took 3 years for plant to fruit.

I didn't even know Rolllinia could hybridize with Atemoya. Wow. Did you hybridize it yourself? How's it taste? How's its cold hardiness? I want to try it. :-)

Very interesting. Have you been able to fruit Rollinia in San Diego?

I'd really like to hear how this hybrid fruit compares to the parents.

I am sorry,

I do not go on the website every hours.  Below is your statement after I refunded you your money with the comments “No Address”.

After the refund,I message you and apologized that I am busy and cannot meet up.  I also asked you to resubmit the order.  I keep track of orders via payment and when there are multiple payments for one person it will get missed and you will not get all of your orders.  This have happen in the past.

Please understand this is not my full time job.  I offer the sale because multiple people have asked.  I may not do this sale again.

Not sure what this guy's problem is. Says he can meet up locally. I send the money. He says he can't meet up. I change one item on the order and send him more money for shipping. Then he returns my money.

So we just all going to treat each other like shit now for no reason. People suck.

Your website is offering $200 for 50 scions.  The average person like me only want 3-5 scions.  Will you sell less scions at a reduce price?

Some cherimoya are biannual meaning every odd years it will produce massive flowers.  If you are feeding with a bloom fertilizer and your wood is 1 year old or greater, it will produce an abundance of flowers.  My trees is a heavy producer every odd year.

I had the purple or red longan in Vietnam and all of the seeds are large.  Flavors and size is not that great compare to others known cultivars.  There are better and meatier longan than the purple variety.  It is a pretty tree and with pretty fruits.
