hymenaea courbaril, that is.

Will a single tree set on its own?

flowers are androgynous, so in theory you should only need one tree.

but you know how it goes...two trees probably helps increase pollination and fruit set.

Iv noticed there are quite a few hymenaea with very similar fruit. What is the largest or best if the taste is different?
Anyone try these yet?

Yes they will , actually the ´ street ´ my orchard is on is called Couapinole which is the Mexican name for Stinking Toe , there is another variety also , let me see if I still have a pic , my computer crashed and I lost most of my pictures .

Not a 100% sure but I believe this may be another Hymenaea sp.

This looks maybe abit underspend, all iv seen they wait for the skin to get a dark brown. Or maybe green is the best time for some varieties
