Edulis means something to the effect of edible in Latin as far as I know and I think it's used for some fruits when the species isn't known except when the plant has Edulis as the species name already like white sapote. I could be wrong but I didn't think there was a annona Edulis. Maybe would be used an unnamed species?
Seems strange to name it Edulis.with so many edibles in the genus already but I'm no expert in taxonomy.

so I mean, like u know, does anyone grow this plant?

A friend gave me some seeds and I'm getting ready to grow some...reminds me of Rollinia by looking at seeds and pics of fruit...

and the fruits in pics looks small, but maybe they are tasty? and easy to grow for some reason?  Hoping this species is worth trying to fruit!

The seeds are only a bit smaller than rollinia seeds. Not really tiny seeds like many other rollinias that have super small fruit. So that leads me to suspect fruit of edulis only a bit smaller than Rollinia deliciosa. Worth a try, i think.

There is a Rollinia edulis.

Rollinia edulis is synonomous with Annona edulis. The seeds that have beem circling the internet over the last few months I suspect are R. e. var. acuta, rather than the larger leaved var. macropus, if the photos supplied by the seller are anything to go on.

From Paulo (I think he has an account on the forum, if so I am hoping he will chime in):
Quote
I do not know Annona edulis, but I can say that these seedlings the figure are very much similar to Rollinia mucosa.
From Jackson:
Hiya Patrick,
Yes i used to have a few R. deliciosa plants (from seed) and my A. edulis do not look or have any habits like that of the R. deliciosa i sprouted.

Har, here are a few photos of my seedlings, what do you think?

Adam I finally got a fruit from the Rollinia I got from you around 2016 and it seems to fit the description of Annona edulis. Great tasting small fruit but no hint of lemon.
