The minis you gave me the other day were REALLY tasty, BTW Jonah.

Had to hide the last one from the kids...

These should grow really well for you in Pacifica and easy to start from seed.

This is definitely a species of plant any zone pusher should be growing.  I get so much interest from unsuspecting people around the neighborhood. Such awesome foliage for the garden

Will they tolerate frost? What are the lows you've seen them down to?

Would they do well in the cooler parts of San Francisco/Daly City? My worry for anything I grow is the cooler highs, more fog and wind in my area.

Very interested to hear of definitive cold hardiness. I may try some if they can do the mid 20s downward.  Do they fruit as fast as regular papaya?
Trying to grow it all!

I have had some that go through winter with absolutely no damage at all and still continuing to grow in the low 30s.  I know of people growing them in SF and they have large trees. SF is probably about as perfect as you can get being that these are cloud forest species.

Maybe not as fast, but I have a 4 or 5 year old tree thats about 15 or so feet tall and yielded about 40 or so lbs of fruit this year.

Hi. I was looking for information about this species, the Internet in various articles says that it is Carica stipulata. Is this correct or a mistake? Is it possible to send seeds to Russia?

The fruit pictured in OP look more like Vasconcellea pubescens or some other Vasconcellea spp. rather than Carica, but I'm not familiar with stipulata so not sure.

Mine sprouted great!  Too bad I was out of town when it happened >:(.  Great seller and I had a good germination rate before they croaked from neglect.  I take one vacation in two years, go figure.
