Hey All,
Update on my plants and I really need some help or advice for an issue I have going on.
Trees have set fruit and I'm hopeful to get some fruit off of them this year.
My 8' tall Valencia Pride has a good amount of tiny fruits and I'm hoping to get maybe a dozen off of it. Last year it held two fruit to about the size of my fist but after our 116 degree day here in Riverside the fruit shriveled and dropped.
my small Keiit has put on a lot of fruit and they are starting to get good sized. I picked the fruit off the past couple years but I think I'm going to just let it do what it wants this year.
This is where I'm running into some problems. My Lancetilla was one of my healthiest problem free trees except it wanting to droop. This year it flowered real heavy and set fruit. I came out and saw one day it wasn't looking too hot and the soil seemed a little dry. so i watered it. It wasn't looking too great before I left and when I came back after a 5 day absence it looks like it is toast. Foilage all brown and black spots everywhere. What is this?
Is this fungal or bacterial? I moved it further away from my healthy trees. SHould I give up on it or spray with copper, sulfur or micro nutrients?
It seems to have spread to the Hayden that was right next to it which I moved urther away as well. However this Hayden has been nothing but trouble and sickly from the beginning.
Hope SoCal People can help me ID this. Thanks
