« on: January 04, 2013, 03:27:04 AM »
Bekuno is a small town 35 Km far from Miri in the south west. Two years ago I found a Durio testudinarium tree...Now that town is surrounded by oil palm..

Asam Empaong  Baccaurea lanceolata EUPHORBIACEAE very sour

Buah Uchong Baccaurea angulata, very attractive fruit with a sweet and tasty flesh

Duku Lansium domesticum MELIACEAE the real Duku (thick skin, round form) as a lot of langsat are sold with that name and are not !

B. lanceolata is sold here too, but comes to the market purple or pink-skinned.
Somehow my wife also knows that duku is globular with thick skin.  I didn't know that. :-[
