That's so cool...!

Took as long as a baby takes to develop!!

What a beautiful fruit!!

Enjoy!!

I have no clue what the weight guessing rules are, but I think .... 41lbs.
I'm pretty bad at guessing weights, ages....you name it, I'm not good at it!

Looks like a great trip!!
I have read all the posts about the previous trips to Puerto Rico.
Looks like mixing things up a bit, with some breaks for beach/relaxation, suited the group.
Everyone looks great and not about to pass out! LOL

Thanks for posting the details and the pictures!

I almost feel like I was there!!

Enjoy your bounty!

Lilly ....

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Late Mango Bloom
« on: April 05, 2014, 11:20:58 PM »
Its quite an interesting mango year so far.  Certain trees, like Carrie and PPK have no crop from the first bloom. Actually, my PPK hasn't even bloomed yet.  Carrie and my Carrie seedling bloomed profusely but set not a single fruit. Other trees, including and surprisingly so Bailey's Marvel, have very heavy fruit set.  I was going to do a full yard survey on fruit set and may still do it....just need to get some time in the yard. In any case, it is not uncommon to have a later season bloom, especially on Carrie, when the first bloom sets little or no fruit.

Can't wait to see your famous yard.

Hello,
My name is Lilliana, but my friends call me...Lilly or L.   I have been reading this forum for a while and thought it was time to join in.  I don't have the opportunity to grow much tropical fruit, but I am proficient at devouring it!!  I would love to learn more about the best tropical fruit in my area, and become more knowledgable about this topic in general.  I come from a big family of tropical fruit lovers & growers; I was born in Cuba.....I guess it's in the genes!  I have a small business dealing in vintage & antique jewelry, I am married and I am Mom. I live in Broward County and hope to bring something to the forum.  Even if only my enthusiasm.  Happy & Healthy growing to all!!
L.   :)
