Sounds wonderful.  Any idea if it can grow in subtropical locations (for example, if it were to be grafted on mango rootstock)?

The Internet says they can't be grafted. I think you need good tropical conditions for it to grow. The opening flush is amazing. I just hope I can keep in thru the dry season here in Uganda.

I know in Fairchild Botanical Garden they are working to try and graft them onto some root stock with an inter scion of M. casturi (I believe). Look up the article... google ("Fairchild BG and wild mango species" or try by specific name...easy to find)

These are growing quickly here in Vieques. I notice color variations amongst the leaves on different seedlings. Nice! Thank you
