what can graft on cherry blossom rootstock?

Hi guys,


I moved in with cherry blossom.   it's not doing great. Last year, i grafted Ranier &  Utah Cherry.   They pushed out couple shots then die back.   anyone know what i can graft on or what rootstock do i have??

Try grafting Royal Lee and Minnie Royal onto it, that’s what I just did yesterday, they require the least chill hours and taste better than any store bought cherry I’ve ever had. Good luck. Nice to see a fellow fountain valley peep on the forum. Maybe we can trade stuff in the future...

I'll look into cherry but afraid it doesn't enough space where it's in right now.  i am thinking to graft 1 seed stone fruit.   anyone thinks it's possible or tried it before?

I believe so. Cherries need  minimum 1000 hrs of chilling.

I believe so. Cherries need  minimum 1000 hrs of chilling.
You should research the low chill varieties that only require 200-300 or less chill hours below 45F, although it looks like you’re in zone 13 so...

thanks Hi Tony what is cherry blossom tree ??? do you mean a ornamental cherry tree? would help if you could be a little more specific
