Problems with mango tree after pruning: weeping sap, insects and discolourations

Our mango tree was pruned a few weeks ago.

Some of the wounds are still dripping sap, have flies, possible bite marks, and discolourations.

Is there some treatment that would help?

Paint bark white on 45-degree to horizontal branches exposed to the mid-day sun--- with indoor latex paint.
