My horse did this.

I don't know why he did it. He's prone to wanton acts of Eco vandalism having killed several mango trees ( digs them up like a dog and kicks them around for fun) and is a bastard generally.

Don't be fooled by that look of innocence.

Anyway, as you can see acerola cherry is the toughest thing on the face of the planet clearly as the branches which are split from the trunk have actually begun flowering and fruiting. They are barely attached at all. The damage was done about one month ago. Amazing.

horse makes pretty good sausage.  like venison, it's very lean.  you need to add about one third pork to bring the fat content up.

That's pretty close to the mark. Though I like that they are pooping machines because this at least cuts down my soil and fertiliser bills.

If you ever get a horse, don't get an Arabian ( that would be the type I Have). They are arrogant demanding prima-donnas.  They are the cats of horses.

The only horses that one may own here are Icelandics. They have personalities rather like dogs. Arabians are more like "I'm regal, a stoic loyal stallion, unless I don't like you for some unknown reason, wherein you can go F*** yourself."  Icelandics are more "Oh HEY, I'm going to lie on my back and roll around in that GRASS over there!"

Oh, and people do eat horse meat here.
