Does UGA Grand Frost Lemon comes true to type from seed?
« on: November 03, 2020, 05:24:07 AM »
Hello, I am wondering does this lemon comes true to type from seeds? And if so, I would like to acquire some seeds from anyone who grows it. Thanks

Will that seedling of the irradiated semi-seedless variety still eventually produce a “semi-seedless “ fruit?

Remember citrus that normally produce up to 6 seeds is by US regulation a seedless fruit, and can be sold as such.

That's a good question to ask, and in this case probably yes, because they took an Ichang lemon and exposed it to radiation to induce a mutation so that it will be mostly seedless.

Ok guys thanks for the explanation, now the question is does anyone have some seeds because I am willing to buy. The only thing is I am located in EU and this lemon originates from the USA, but for the seeds that won't pose a problem.
