Help with little green grasshoppers
« on: September 09, 2019, 03:59:47 PM »
Little green grasshoppers are eating the leaves of my young cherimoya trees.  Just let them eat away, or is there any solution to this?

thanks.

Had a bunch on my blueberries a couple weeks ago. I used Soap and water to immobilize, then squished them with my fingers, or you can just hose them off your tree.

Haha.  They are pretty slow. I just grab, throw them to the ground to stun them, then step. I don't want to use my bare fingers.

I’m doing the same, throw them on pavers then step on them.

Having a couple hens around has really helped with bug problems. There was a termite problem in the neighborhood and my house and another we’re the only one spared, we had chickens.
Don’t rush, take time and enjoy life and food.
