Impressive for New York state!

Seedlings and plants all look very healthy.  Good work.

What is the long term plan for these plants?  Large containers brought in during the winter months?  Inside the house?!

Wow, im impressed on how well your bananas are doing outside and in a container. All of your plants look healthy and especially since your growing them in NY.

Not anymore. the Lawn Guys thought it would be a great idea to blast all the plants with the air blower thingy. The top half of the banana snapped off. Some of my other plants suffered severe damage. they are inside now, but my outdoor plants are a bit more, tilted, than in the photos.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

and a few more emoticons:

The Lawn guys also ruined my watermelon, okra, eggplant, tomato....

I'm putting up a sign next year. NO DESTRUIR LOS PLANTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what do you know, mr wilkolaski was right. i will need to use spanish in my life at some point.

Oh no, i have to pay attention in class now...

Sorry to hear about the seedling serial killers, to make sure they clearly understand, the message should read, "NO DESTRUIR LAS PLANTAS." You have a very nice collection of seedling fruit plants; great pics.

do they grow fine?

just noticed, my lemon tree actually has two lemons on it. also, all plants are now indoors. The backyard is pretty empty now.

The temperatures that i am experiencing now are the temps that would have just about all you guys running for over, for your plants, that is. Low tonight is 40 degrees fahrenheit. Thenwe're going to have some days in the 60s!. then it goes to 38 degrees fahrenheit on november third. On average, lower temps will be formly in the thirties by halfway through november.

Wow, good luck! Mine must be empathetic, because it is also sending out a shoot! What nice plants you have, I hope they all grow well and stay happy with you! I know how you feel about the serial air-blowers, I recently lost most of my plants to the weedwacker+cold weather. :-[ :-\ :-[ Are your plants doing any better? I wish you all the luck on your tropical fruit adventure, and the many more to come.

No casualties, luckily, so i'm confident. No real harm seems to be done, the banana looks like it will regrow.

Ok, so my meyer lemon is putting out about a million buds now, all o small to take pictures of but clearly flower buds. What i'm wondering is, will i ever actually grow? it has flowered twice already but only pu ou a single flush on a single plant. To be fair, he plant wasn't in he best of conditions at that time, and it flushed right after blooming. I read that meyers tend to bloom then flush, and now that the lemon is in a better condition (i.e. no rootbound as hell) can i expect some decent growth? hanks.

Also, the mamey. It's my only mamey and i really want to know how to treat this plant. SHould one half be clipped off? will the plan naturally favor one stem and have the other one die off? will i grow fine the way it is? what should i do?

And now for some more pics:

Umm, actually? postimg is freaking out. so, give me a sec. Okay, got a photobucket account. And sorry for the horrible quality, i'm no master photographer  :(.

Lemon Drop Mangosteen:

Eugenia Candolleana:

Carambola:

Waimanalo Dwarf Papaya:

the papaya is a survivor. The cup got knocked over and the plants that had germinated died, and some of the non germinated seeds got shoved to the bottom. This one was one of those and still made it back to the top somehow and sprouted.

When can i expect the leaves to begin looking papaya-like?

No pics yet but my rainforest plum has definitely sprouted and has a couple good (tiny) leaves. My lemon drop mangoostan is somewhat frozen in time but getting a little bit bigger. I now have like 3 more carambola seedlings. A prickly pear seed just sprouted and is growing. My meyer lemon has at least 20 or 30 flower buds and the buds are already a  bit fragrant. all of my plants are now indoors and my outdoor vege garden etc. is deader than a doorknob from the frosts we have been having (into the twenties) and the few inches of snow we had.
