Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Piper nigrum ID
« on: September 08, 2023, 11:04:57 AM »
Hello
I have 2 piper nigrum varieties.
Looking for ID

Did you get the ID? Have they produced fruits?

I have piper nigrum and toona sinensis. Definitely can sell the piper. Need to repot the toona trees. Think there could be root suckers I could separate off. If you definitely want that I'll do the repotting and see if I can divide off a piece or two for you.

That would be great, please send me a message with all details

Hello everyone. I'm looking for some plants to add to my collection...

Toona sinensis
Cyclea barbata
Zanthoxylum simulans
Mertensia maritima
Piper nigrum
If any other similar that you think everyone must have, feel free to comment...
If anyone has them all and with reasonable prices I'll buy them for sure. Must be shipped to Green bay, WI.

Thanks in advance for any leads too! 🙏🏻

Anyone has annona montana seeds to sell or trade?
I am told there are different cultivars some with pale flesh and some with a more yellow flesh as well as some that are less bitter.  Interested in all types.

I have some available now...

Contact Harris Citrus Nursery in FL.  Option two is BriteLeaf Nursery in FL. Both commercially grow citrus for groves and sell retail.  Harris has them  on their website.

Thank you!

Specialtyproduce is a resturant supplier in downtown that sells to the public.

They often carry excellent fruit at the farmers market portion.

Great, I'll check that. I see you are also in SD, would be possible to come and have a look to your orchid?

Are you going to bring trees back to Mexico?
Not really, it's more to eat the Fruits there and probably bring some seeds! 😁

Hello everyone, it's my first time going back to USA since I'm addicted to buy exotic Fruits, seeds, plants...
So I'm in Guadalajara, Mexico and will be in Tijuana and then to San Diego and probably in L.A. this is a short trip for few days so with less time being there I'd love to have some recommendations on where to go and get cool stuff to try and probably bring it to Mexico to grow here too. Thanks a lot in advance for the help!!

This is one variety I have...

Still waiting the confirmation of availability of seeds. Have been waiting more than a month...

I don't know if we have it here but I live in Jalisco and we have so many guavas here. Please show me a picture of the Fruit so I can know better what are you guys looking for and if I can help.

What is the best tasting red guava you have there? Maybe it is the famous Jalisco Red. Then you can air layer it. I have been looking for one too.

Actually I don't know much about guavas, but I also have seen that some varieties of Fruit some times are named with a City or county name and you can even find that in the same city or county... Don't know if this is the case
