I know Jamaican cherry and moringa both produce under 2 years. Are there any others with similar, quick production?

You can get white sapote fruit in 2.5 years if you grow a really vigorous (large seed) seedling and a year in graft it to Vernon, which I've seen set fruit a year after grafting.

Some jaboticaba can fruit in 3 years or less

Jackfruit is quick too. Mine are flowering at 3 years and that’s with cutting back every year.
Edit: maybe not in your climate. Mulberry for sure.

Sugar-Apples can fruit in 2-and-a-half years, but usually in 3 1/2.
Dwarf Ambarella also.

Spondias dulcis will go from seed to producing fruit within a year.

Ulfr, thanks. I’m testing my zone luck and have a couple seedlings in ground.
Chupa, I realized that my houseplant was a Malabar chestnut so I put it in ground just last week. Thanks! I’ll check your other suggestions.

I’m very excited about June plum. A local Asian grocer has them in stock so I’ll try germinating some asap. Fruit under a year is remarkable!

ONLY Dwarf June-Plum fruit right away, and in a 3-gallon pot. Regular June-Plums get huge fast, and fruit after 4-6 years.

I'm glad you posted this. I was concerned because my "regular" June Plum is four ears old, five or six meters high and no fruit. I had read they fruit at one or two years old and thought something was wrong with mine. LOL

How about other "tropical cherry" plants....like Barbados and del Rio Grande? Savannah Cherry, too?

If your thinking Black Sapote isn't great I wouldn't be getting too excited abut June Plum.

For me. June plum taste like green/unripe mango. I really like it.
Spondias purpurea, is also a fast producer but you need to propagate it from a cutting.

Abiu (Pouteria caimito).
I grow 3 different abiu seedlings, and one of them fruited in 3 years. The other two fruited in 4 years from seed.
The one that fruited in 3 years is a seedling from an Australian variety called Z4.
Now I grow variety #1; variety # 2; and variety # 4.
All of them are very large and sweet fruits. Number 1 is the most productive, and number 4 has a thicker skin and a longer shelf life.
Abiu is a fantastic fruit that adapted quite well to Southwest Florida. I would recommend to grow at least 2 trees side by side for cross pollination.

Eugenia pitanga (dwarf pitanga) is supposed to be a great container fruit that is supposed to fruit within the first year or so.
Lots of Eugenia's fruit in under 4 years from seed.

Thank you all for the continued suggestions. I love the idea of Surinam cherry...although opinions on the taste seem to be disappointing. For that reason I’ve decided to avoid it. I’ll look into pb tree

as for taste of suriname cherry they can be bad but I have a 2 year old zill seedling that when bordering overipe tasts like mango peach cherries and has a truly amazing level 5 flavor)

Suriname Cherry and C.O.R.G. could work.
Many of the suggestions are coming from area's with much higher nighttime winter temperatures , so take some suggestions with a grain of salt unless you have a humongous greenhouse.
THere's a couple Central Valley rare fruiters on the forum that could give good suggestions on what has actually worked for them in a similar climate.

I’ve got a 1 year old babaco and a 6 month old babaco. Many are growing papaya in Phoenix at same zone

If we are ruling out stuff like melons,bananas and tomatoes and talking trees fruits not many can do it in 3 years. Dwarf ambarella can, scarlet jabs can, sometimes jackfruit can.

While cuttings are always quicker to fruit and will be truer to the parent, the following can fruit in a couple of years: cocoplum, noni, seagrape.

Jamaican cherry AKA Mutingia Calabura. From seed to fruit in one year. Very vigorous and could be invasive.

A new champion has emerged. Seeds from my bilimbi tree fruit planted 5 weeks ago produced a super precocious individual.

I've had some papaya fruit within a year but have trouble keeping them healthy in the winter. They seem to develop rot around their leaf scars, but I have some that are a couple years old. Jamaican cherry fruits quickly. I ripped it out of the ground before testing its cold tolerance but it did get frosted leaves at 35 degrees so im not sure if it would have survived - but I wasn't thrilled with the fruit or look of the tree. Ambarella true to its reputation fruited extremely fast.
