Is it Ready?
« on: August 25, 2018, 03:19:17 PM »
How does one know when it's ready to pick? This one
has a bit of give when I squeeze it.

If it has a bit of give, pick it now.

Very tasty; a mixture of strawberry/grape.

I purchased some Physical Graffiti and Haley's Comet cuttings a few
years ago. Does the fruit look like either one of them?

To me, based on what I have seen labeled as Haleys and PG, I would say no (not only does the interior color look a bit too datk but the color of the all red exterior looks wrong for these two).  With that being said, not sure that there have not been some mislabeled cuttings being sent around.

See how the tips of the "scales" on the fruit are turning brown?  That's when I pick mine.  If you leave it too long, they can split open, which the ants and such really appreciate.
