I saw Pinkerton, holiday, Hass and Fuerte at my HD last week for $14.99... They had a few 8' a Hass for $70You should pick up that Holiday.
I see them for that sale price in my Home Depot all year longI always see them at the $23.99 price. They usually NEVER have ANY fruit trees on sale.
Where are you located?Looks like somewhere within San Diego. I'm interested in your Duguetia lanceolata and Myrciaria vexator.
. If you are interested, I will give you my small potted Kohala Longan,Is it grafted?
Xeno - Cape Gooseberry is a very different plant.Woops. I thought that's what we were talking about.
I'M ASHAMED to admit I don't think I've ever had a loquat,You need to get on that. It's a shame that loquats arn't that popular as they don't ship well. But they sure are delicious!!!! This is the first year my Big Jim is fruiting and I'm loving it! If only they produced multiple times a year. That would be fantastic!
1. How do you get around requirement of phyto cert (legally)?Have you ever thought about building a trebuchet?
2. What conditions are best for meeting legal requirements (i.e. bareroot, soil-less medium, etc)?
3. Are there plant/tree species/genus that should just be avoided all together (i.e. citrus)?
4. Is there a "Cliff's Notes" version of the rules & regs for interstate transport of regulated plant material?
Thanks in advance,
Xeno, Timoteyo grows very well but it take a few years to get going. They also flower and fruit like crazy. The problem with the tree is that the fruits are mediocre at best. I will sample some more in the end of July and report the results. Also, it an alternate bearer......heavy one year very light the other.Great. Now I want to throw my tree away. :/ Well I hope they taste better this year then last years fruit.
Timatoyo's are formatted to grow here havae 1 in my yardI have one in a twenty gallon pot. My Timatayo is a sleeping mango tree because it's barely growing. I think I should urinate in the pot more.
I use no cup with water and put directly in a pot in potting soil...I did the 'put directly into potting soil' thing. Zero new growth for two months. I then pulled the plants out and stuck them into a cup filled with water 5 days ago. I checked today and I'm getting new white root growth. I suggest you try the cup of water method Rtreid. Or try both methods.
