Go figure that you are all out of jabo seeds. :/

You can bet that I won't be there!  ;D ;D ;D  :'( :'(

A bit off topic but I noticed that Home Depot dropped their price on citrus to $17.something per 5 gallon. Buy 3 trees = $51. If you join their garden club email you can get $5 off a garden purchase of $50 or more. Three trees equals = $46 or $15 each tree. Not bad. Lowe's could price match it also plus 10% off which leads back to $46.

I saw Pinkerton, holiday, Hass and Fuerte at my HD last week for $14.99... They had a few 8' a Hass for $70
You should pick up that Holiday.

5
Can confirm. Went to my local Home Depot and they had this sign up. Though they only had in under the Fuertes and Mexicola varieties.

6
I see them for that sale price in my Home Depot all year long
I always see them at the $23.99 price. They usually NEVER have ANY fruit trees on sale.

7
Is this nationwide or just local?

Where are you located?
Looks like somewhere within San Diego. I'm interested in your Duguetia lanceolata and Myrciaria vexator.

I had a surprise at Home Depot yesterday. I went looking at their fruit trees and I found a Chocolate persimmon tree for $26.95. needs to be potted up but otherwise looks good! Bought that sucker today. I'm hoping its a Tsurunoko kind and not the Maru kind.

Carrie. It's green like all the time. Prevents fruit thieves from picking your fruit off cause they don't know when the fruit is ripe when it really is (when it turns somewhat yellow)! Also the tree is somewhat compact. Also you may want to look at growing loquat!

I'M ASHAMED  to admit I don't think  I've ever had a loquat,
You need to get on that. It's a shame that loquats arn't that popular as they don't ship well. But they sure are delicious!!!! This is the first year my Big Jim is fruiting and I'm loving it! If only they produced multiple times a year. That would be fantastic!

I love contests like these! I'm like 0-4 on this website! Woot woot!

1. How do you get around requirement of phyto cert (legally)?

2. What conditions are best for meeting legal requirements (i.e. bareroot, soil-less medium, etc)?

3. Are there plant/tree species/genus that should just be avoided all together (i.e. citrus)?

4. Is there a "Cliff's Notes" version of the rules & regs for interstate transport of regulated plant material?

Thanks in advance,
Have you ever thought about building a trebuchet?

Build one, take it the the border between Nevada and California, load up your plants, and launch them across state lines. 8) 8)

Our conversation of how I wanted to throw my mango tree away caused this topic huh?  ;D That's a nice looking tree!

22
Xeno, Timoteyo grows very well but it take a few years to get going. They also flower and fruit like crazy. The problem with the tree is that the fruits are mediocre at best. I will sample some more in the end of July and report the results. Also, it an alternate bearer......heavy one year very light the other.
Great. Now I want to throw my tree away. :/ Well I hope they taste better this year then last years fruit.

23
Timatoyo's are formatted to grow here havae 1 in my yard
I have one in a twenty gallon pot. My Timatayo is a sleeping mango tree because it's barely growing. I think I should urinate in the pot more.

38 pounds.

I use no cup with water and put directly in a pot in potting soil...
I did the 'put directly into potting soil' thing. Zero new growth for two months. I then pulled the plants out and stuck them into a cup filled with water 5 days ago. I checked today and I'm getting new white root growth. I suggest you try the cup of water method Rtreid. Or try both methods.
