Jackfruit Variety
« on: April 11, 2019, 05:42:09 PM »
I'm looking for a couple of jackfruit trees to add to my collection. I have the NS-1, Amber, Lemon Crunch and one unknown. Hopefully Harry or one of you other experts can guide me as to what else to add. My grafted Amber is in the ground, 3 years old and only 3' tall with 4 fruit on it. I'd like the tree to be at least 3 years old or older and I can pick it up.

Thanks

Ray

Where did you get a grafted Amber from?

Seems as if the Amber is 3 years old ,3 feet tall, something is not going well for the tree, perhaps you could snip the fruit off to encourage more growth??

I agree it's growing slow but it's deficient or diseased in any way.

I meant to type 'it's NOT deficient or diseased in any way.'

From a friends tree. His tree is large with nice size fruit

I think your friends tree is most likely a seedling. So you may have a grafted Amber seedling and not a grafted Amber.
