For anyone interested. Was just over there picking up some stuff and noticed they had a few 15 gallon decent looking barbados cherry trees. No idea what variety they might be (anyone know?). Only thing I saw was they've got the same mycitrustrees or whatever tag that Home Depot's citrus all come from.

I think it was $60.
How can you tell the variety?
-
Damn, nothing like that in CA Home Depot, I'm so jealous.
-
And a related question - any material difference between B-17 (assuming that's what this is) and say Florida sweet for eating fresh or in smoothies?
-
Geez, $60 for an acerola? Buy a tiny one for a few bucks and it'll be that size in a month...

I noticed their logo at the bottom. They grow some excellent citrus.
Adam, is it B-17 for sure? I still haven't found out if Zills has the Florida Sweet. If you find out let me know so I can add the other one to my multi graft tree.
I am trying to get Hawaiian Queen and Tropical Ruby budwood now since I think my Manoa Sweet grafts took.

Murahilin,
just guessing...I thought b17 was most commonly propagated type...
maybe it is FL sweet, but I can't tell the difference.
btw, record buck is somewhat close to me....Green's Nursery sells their trees for cheap! they have all sorts of citrus trees, and get stuff from record buck all the time.

Cool.
I found another cultivar knows as Siam Sweet at Excalibur. I am going to get some budwood from it this weekend to add to my tree. Interested in any cuttings?

yes please, I've had decent success rooting them in my greenhouse, in plugs, with promix...just watering daily.
I have a batch of Echo Sweet cuttings that I'm going to sell soon.
if you want I can mail you a rooted cutting?
